The result was based on 4 evaluation criteria including presence, influence, openness, and excellence. The 8 universities include Vietnam National University, Can Tho University, the HCMC and Hanoi Universities of Science and Technology, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, Hanoi University of Education and the University of Mining and Geology. The evaluation is conducted once every 2 years to release these rankings.
