Many NA deputies disagree on whether the e-visa should be applied to all foreign tourists. Many NA deputies support the implementation of electronic visas because it helps create to attract tourists, promote foreign investment, and is suitable with the e-government project. However, some showed concerns of whether Vietnam has the adequate infrastructure and management skills to implement the project. Some deputies suggested that the e-visa only be applied to countries that have traditional diplomatic ties with Vietnam and to countries that have stable politics and economies. However, some argue that Vietnam should establish equal diplomat ties with all countries. E-visas applied for foreign tourists also help the Vietnamese customs keep track of foreign people entering Vietnam.
