This, however, begs the question of how to develop local tourism while preserving our natural heritage at the same time.
Dark Cave, a new tourist spot located deep in the Phong Nha Kẻ Bàng National Park, has been attracting many tourists to the Central Province of Quảng Bình recently. However, if the province only focused on developing tourism, the degradation of these natural heritage sites would be unavoidable. Understanding that dilemma, in recent years, Phong Nha Kẻ Bàng Tourism Centre has been trying to create new types of tours that both satisfy tourists and reduce the human impact on nature.
Nguyen Manh Hung, Phong Nha Ke Bang Tourism Centre said: "We established zipline tours and other services such as ca trù performances, herbal foot bath, and fish pedicure. We believe that these new services can attract more tourists to Dark Cave, and at the same time, minimize the number of tourists to other spots inside this National Park".
Being able to enjoy new services while visiting the world's natural heritage sites is certain to be of great interest to foreign tourists. As a result, the image of Vietnam with its hospitality, friendliness and natural beauty will be highlighted all the more in the eyes of international visitors.
Combining tourism development and the preservation of nature is not an easy feat. Therefore, the quality of tour operations as well as the consciousness of people will be the main factors for achieving this goal.
