VTV.vn - As one of the longest plenary sessions during the 13th National Assembly, the 10th plenary session completed its agenda and also discussed the legislative developments required to meet the demands of integration.

Deputies said that the 10th plenary session discussed and passed several important laws, especially laws related to civic and human rights.

"The session passed the implementation of many laws related to not only the government but also citizens such as the criminal procedural code, civil procedural code, civil code and criminal code including temporary custody and detention." - Tran Du Lich, National Assembly, Ho Chi Minh City.

Deputies also spoke highly of the quality of discussions and debates during the 10th plenary session.

"This session was different from previous ones. Before passing any issues, the National Assembly asked opinions from deputies and respected different ideas." - Bui Thi An, National Assembly, Hanoi.

Deputies spoke highly the changes to the National Assembly Q&A sessions.

"During the Q&A sessions, ministers answered questions from the deputies until they had proper answers to each issue. Issues raised in the session and form of the Q&As were also different from previous years." - Do Van Ve, National Assembly, Thai Binh Province.

"The National Assembly reviewed all issues to see whether they were fully addressed. Issues raised in the session were not restricted. Deputies could ask about all related aspects of those issues." - Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, National Assembly, Ho Chi Minh City.

However, concern still remains on how to implement an effective legal system that benefits the public and economy.

"There have been changes in laws through changes in the institution. I hope that there will be more changes in administrative procedures in terms of laws to help businesses and people." - Phan Van Quy, National Assembly, Nghe An Province.

Despite remaining concerns, the 10th plenary session has been regarded as a success with several laws passed which are intended to effectively ensure the rights of the public in line with the 2013 Constitution.
