The program was initiated by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam in 2015.
Three styles of dance (Street dance, Contemporary dance, Beatbox and breakdance) plus performances by the Black Lip Boyz; Hilatas (The Light That Guides You) and Chairs, electrified audiences with their impressive dance moves and modern interpretations.
About 20 dancers and choreographers from 7 different countries and territories in Asia practiced and brainstormed for their performances for weeks. Their movements crossed the borders of language and culture, and turned into an amazing fusion of art, skill and music.
Aside from Hanoi, these young dancers and choreographers also performed in Tokyo last December. They will be performing in the Philippines this Friday and Saturday.
