Starting last Saturday, it's now open to visitors from 9pm to 10pm daily. The extended opening hours help feature the gorgeous nighttime landscape and many vibrant activities that happen here.
At night, the Hue Imperial Citadel dazzles tourists with its artistic lighting system, which presents a spectacular view of Ngọ Môn Noon Gate, Trung Đạo Bridge, Thái Dịch Lake, Thế Miếu Palace and Diên Thọ and Trường Sanh Palace.
“We are determined to make the nighttime activities of the Hue Imperial Citadel a sustainable cultural product. I hope it will also serve as a catalyst to boost the tourism sector into becoming a leading field for the local economy. For travel agencies, a "Hue Imperial Citadel by night" program facilitates the development of local cultural products while helping extend tourists' visits,” said Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre.
The Hue Imperial Citadel by night is regarded as a sustainable tourism product in central Vietnam. It is also an indispensable part of the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2017 which will take place starting this Friday, April 28 to May 2.
