VASEP predicted that cuttlefish and octopus export turnover in 2017 will decrease by 5% year on year, to about 420 million US dollars. The figure is expected to reach 80 million US dollars in the 1st quarter of the year. The top 6 exports markets of the product would still be the Republic of Korea, Japan, the US, ASEAN, the EU and China. These markets account for 95% of the total export turnover. Domestic producers would continue to import cuttlefish material as there are not enough sources in the country./.
