VTV.vn - In State-level celebrations and ceremonies, the Military Ceremonial Unit creates a majestic atmosphere, showing the nation’s warm welcome. Over the years, soldiers of the Unit have contributed to the success of the People’s Army of Vietnam.

Founded on August 20th, 1945, the liberation music band was the predecessor of the Vietnam Military Ceremonial Unit. With more than 70 members, the group was honored to serve the Vietnamese Declaration of Independence Ceremony on September 9th 1945, proclaiming the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

Through epic and revolutionary songs, soldiers of the military band spread a belief in victory and unification across the country. The historical event at Ben Hai River on July 20th, 1964 demonstrated the spirit of the military musicians. As a military musician present at this historic event, Nguyen Văn Chung recalled the moment when their comrades played revolutionary songs, calling for solidarity from people in southern Vietnam.

Following the tradition of previous generations, soldiers in the Military Ceremonial Unit are responsible for the official rites and celebrations of the Party and State. The combination of honor guards and the military band forms the majesty of the People's Army of Vietnam. Each soldier of the Unit strives to improve their knowledge and ability over the years.

Over the years, the soldiers of the Military Ceremonial Unit have relentlessly prepared themselves to represent the might of the People's Army, and to show off their solemn and impressive rites, welcoming leaders worldwide.
