Launched one year ago under the theme ‘Inviolable national sovereignty’, the writing contest received nearly 250 entries.
It aimed to provide a platform for Vietnamese people at home and abroad to express their patriotism and make proposals to safeguard the national sovereignty and develop the country more prosperously.
Meanwhile, the photo contest themed ‘Sacred national flag’ attracted more than 1,000 entries capturing beautiful images of the Vietnamese national flag.
The two competitions aimed to raise public awareness of protection national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity while fuelling patriotism among them.
At the ceremony, the organising board awarded one first, one second, one third, and two consolation prizes to the best entries of each contest.
Accordingly, Hoang Long, alias Mai Thang, from Ba Ria – Vung Tau province won the first prize of the writing contest for his article entitled ‘Ky Uc Nha Gian’ (Memories of the Platform), while the first prize of the photo contest went to Nguyen Xuan Tu from Da Nang city for his photo collection named ‘Sacred flags’.
