The Muong Khuong (Vietnam) - Qiaotou (China) Border Gate was re-opened after a prolonged closure due to COVID-19.
Before the opening, Lao Cai Province directed Muong Khuong District to provide residents living in border areas with regulations on entry and exit, and other relevant regulations.
The Lao Cai Economic Zone Management also worked with the Chinese side on restoring the movement of border residents through the Muong Khuong Border Gate.
On the first day of re-opening, 26 people crossed the border through the Muong Khuong Border Gate, according to the Muong Khuong Border Station.
On the same day, the Lo Co Chin crossing was also re-opened.
