Dak Lak Province has approved Buon Me Thuot geographical indication for 10 companies, which are expected to produce 46,000 tonnes of coffee a year. However, only 2,500 tonnes of coffee have been exported.
Even though Buon Me Thuot coffee is very famous in Vietnam, the geographical indication tag hasn't helped exporters a lot. Experts advised producers to ensure the quality of their products and step up marketing, especially abroad./.
