The War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27th) is nearing with more and more activities to commemorate the sacrifices of soldiers who fought for the country's independence. On Sunday night, a ceremony to pray for peace and commemorate sacrificed soldiers was held in Bái Đính Pagoda, Ninh Bình Province.
Participants at the event jointly created a map of Vietnam with more than 3000 lanterns. In addition to Buddhist monks and followers, the ceremony also attracted more than 1000 youngsters who are attending summer Buddhism courses in Bái Đính Pagoda. For them, the ceremony was a good occasion to understand more about national history and patriotism.
