Sellers in the Mekong Delta city of Cần Thơ have departed even further from the traditional pizza and ditched the dough entirely, presenting something they call a ‘noodle pizza’.
The so-called ‘noodle pizza’ is something of a surprise for many tourists. Besides enjoying the food, customers can try making the dish themselves, from producing the noodles to baking the final pizza.
Making the most of local ingredients is a great way of developing tourism business in traditional villages, helping provide higher incomes for the locals in Cần Thơ city. And with the new ‘noodle pizza’ there’s another reason to visit the Mekong Delta’s largest city.
