Ao Dai Festival give Early presents to international women

VTV.vn - The Ao Dai Festival concluded last night and presented an early present for the ladies ahead of the International Women’s Day on March 8th.

Ao dai is a national symbol of Vietnamese women's charm. And to exhibit it, the Vietnamese fashion industry has taken to another national symbol, where he old meets the new.

19 fashion designers from all across Vietnam have gathered together here at the Temple of Literature to celebrate women’s beauty through the traditional dress of Ao Dai. What makes this event special is that the designers have each chosen a flower to represent their own collections

This is the Antigone collection performed by 20 models. The work features silk, tussore and taffeta, with patterns of flowers and butterflies.

Do Trinh Hoai Nam, Fasion Designer said: My pieces have been designed to tell different notes of a love story inspired by Antigone flowers. I want to portray both the youthful and sophisticated natures of the female beauty. My collection is characterised by experimental and modern cuts, while still embracing the traditional beauty of Vietnamese women.

"We would like to use traditional Vietnamese materials and tailoring techniques but bring a youthful spirit on the outside graphics", Diego Chula, Spanish Fashion Designer said.

People’s Artist Tra Giang, Actress said: I love how genuine and intimate this show has been. It doesn't feel like just another catwalk but a homely display of female beauty.

The ao dai & festival ran from March 1-4, right ahead of the International Women's Day. This was A tribute to the all the ladies from both the fashion industry and hanoi authorities. Michael Luu Vietnam Television Hanoi./.
