The statement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue in a meeting with Indian businesses on Wednesday.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that India and Vietnam should continue its efforts to push two-way trade turnover to 15 billion USD by 2020 as the current figure of 5 billion USD is still below the potential.
He said Indian businesses were investing in priority areas in which Vietnam is developing such as power generation, renewable energy and information technology.
Indian businesses hope Vietnam can remove existing obstacles for co-operation projects in hydro-power plants, car manufacturing and urban flood control systems.
