According to report of the committee, eight state-owned enterprises and one non-productive unit were privatized in the first quarter of this year. 41 firms had their valuations announced and the valuation of 108 enterprises are underway. In the first quarter, the country collected over 3 million USD after successfully selling state stakes in 10 businesses. The deputy prime minister however said that the process remained slow. He said overly-complex administrative procedures should be adjusted to foster the process.
