State Budget revenue in the first quarter reached over 12.3 billion US dollars, 15% higher compared with the same period last year due to higher fees such as road tolls and maritime charges. The Ministry of Finance also considered raising the environmental protection tax on oil and gas consumption from 3,000 dong per liter to 8,000 dong per liter. This is aimed at ensuring regular spending of about 2% of the state budget on environmental protection. The ministry also said that business households would not be forced to transform into enterprises.
