The State Bank of Vietnam recently made an official announcement about using cryptocurrencies for means of payment in which the bank implied that the use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies may face criminal charges. This kind of currency is not issued by any government or governmental organisation, but by organisations, individuals, programmers that are neither under the control of banks nor acting as guarantors via gold, securities or any other form of assets.
