The Government issued Decree No.24/2023/ND-CP on May 14, stipulating the base salary for nine groups of subjects from July 1, 2023.
The new salary will be applied to civil servants, public employees, armed forces, and retired civil servants.
The decree states that the base salary will be used as a basis to calculate the salary level in the payroll, allowances, fees, and other finacial support as prescribed by law.
The base salary of 1.49 million VND per month has been unchanged since July 1, 2019.
The decree will take effect from July 1, 2023.
