Activities held across country to mark Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day

VTV.vn - A string of activities was held across the country on July 26 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day (1947-2022).

In Thua Thien Hue Province, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the Party's Communication and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia led a delegation to visit and offer incense to To Huu (1920-2002), who served as Politburo member and Vice Chairman of the Ministers' Council, at his commemorative site in Quang Tho Commune, Quang Dien District.

The Party official then paid homage to General Nguyen Chi Thanh (1914 – 1967), who was a former Politburo member and former Chairman of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, at his commemorative site in Quang Tho Commune, Quang Dien District.

The same day, a delegation of Tuyen Quang provincial authorities headed by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Chau Van Lam offered flowers and incense at the President Ho Chi Minh’s Temple, the Monument of heroes and wounded soldiers, and the provincial martyrs cemetery.

Leaders of Binh Duong province visited and laid wreaths at the provincial martyrs’ cemetery.

A meeting was organised in Binh Duong Province on July 26 to observe the 75th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh reviewed the heroic tradition of the nation, and expressed deep gratitude to the great contributions of heroes, wounded and fallen soldiers, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and their families to the cause of national liberation, construction and defend.

Earlier that morning, the provincial leaders visited and laid wreaths at the provincial martyrs’ cemetery.
