VTV7 is an educational channel aimed at pre-school children and primary school pupils.
VTV8 is a channel targeting audiences in the central provinces and Central Highlands, built on the foundation laid existing channels in Danang, Hue and Phu Yen.
Meanwhile, VTV9 is for audiences in the South of Vietnam and follows the restructuring of provincial channels in the south and Ho Chi Minh City. The new channels are expected to offer audiences a wider selection of higher quality programmes.
