The 2024 Olympia Finals took place on the morning of October 13. After four intense and suspenseful rounds, contestant Vo Quang Phu Duc from Quoc Hoc Hue Specialized High School officially won the championship with a score of 220 points.
Speaking with Chuyen Dong 24 hours after the competition, Phu Duc expressed his happiness and gratitude for this victory. He thanked his teachers, friends, parents, and the nearly 8,000 students who had gathered at Ngo Mon Square in the Hue Imperial City. Their support, he said, was a major motivation for his success.
Notably, Phu Duc reflected on the final bell ring that propelled him to the championship. He recalled using a similar strategy in the third quarterly match but emphasized how much more meaningful it was during the final round.
“In the Third Quarter, I used the same strategy to bring the seventh satellite location victory to Thua Thien Hue. This time, I used it again to bring the championship home to Quoc Hoc Hue Specialized High School,” Phu Duc said.
