Two people were reportedly buried under rubble on Wednesday morning while they were on their way to a rice field. The victims were identified as Giang A Dinh and his son, Giang A Thang, from Ta Tong Commune in Muong Te District. The rain also swept away local residents' rice, poultry and cattle. Nearly 10,000 cubic metres of rocks and earth from mountain slopes crashed down on the road, severely affecting several routes in the area.
