Ocean tuna catches at Hon Ro port in the central province of Khánh Hòa have been 2-3 tonnes higher than previous trips. This is also the case for melon striped tuna and mackerel. Although fish prices aren’t that attractive now, profits are still high thanks to continuous oil price declines.
Meanwhile, over 40 vessels in Vinh Linh, Quang Tri Province have caught over 2-hectares. Fishermen in Dien An, Nghe An caught about 400 tonnes of seafood, earning around 8 billion Viet Nam dong.
