The World Bank’s East Asia Pacific Economic Update, released on Monday (13/4), the World Bank has forecasted that Vietnam will be the only country with positive growth this year, among the 9 East Asian countries studied in the report.
The World Bank report forecasted Vietnam’s GDP growth for Vietnam this year will reach 6%, up 0.5% compared to last year, but still short of the Vietnamese government’s target of 6.2%. In the medium term, the WB has recommended Vietnam should expand and upgrade physical infrastructure and improve public access to higher education and health care.
