The two sides will increase co-operation to further support each other. The joint operations are aimed to support the two institutions to improve the effectiveness of maritime shipping management while at the same time maintaining safety and security at sea. Other areas include prevention of marine pollution, as well as search and rescue activities at sea. It is hoped to create favourable conditions for marine operations in ports and coastal Vietnam. The implementation of the agreement will be assessed every 6 months./.
