Total donations to the "65 Years of Vietnam–Cuba Solidarity" campaign reached 615 billion VND (23.34 million USD), 9.5 times higher than the initial target, heard the campaign's closing ceremony in Hanoi on October 18.

In a bid to diversify its economic partnerships, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel held a meeting on May 16 with a delegation of Vietnamese businesses led by the Thai Binh Group.
