Diligently rehearsing dance moves to bring an explosive performance to the two concerts, the group of beautiful sisters are stepping out of their comfort zones to face new challenges, experience new things, and push their own limits. This is the spirit of Sisters Who Make Waves 2023.
In Concert 2, the group Phi hành gia cô đơn (Lonely Astronaut), led by MLee, made a strong impression on the audience with many highlights in staging and the breakthrough of two beautiful sisters, Thu Phuong and Le Quyen.
In this performance, Le Quyen continued to challenge herself by "rapping" in Concert 2. From a "Queen of Ancient Music" specializing in singing gentle, profound songs, Le Quyen now took the microphone to rap an incredibly smooth and fast-flowing segment. Thu Phuong and Le Quyen's efforts earned the admiration of the judges, and even advisor Tran Hong Ha had to stand up and said: "Today you really earned the respect of the judges, sisters."
In addition, MLee demonstrates her leadership during the rehearsal, maintaining a strong spirit, cheering and listening to her teammates. At the same time, the owner of the hit song Cá Cắn Câu always performs challenging moves such as walking on air and flipping while hanging high. Her efforts and dedication were recognized by the audience, earning her the second highest score among the six performances in Concert 2 - Theme Tidal.
Looking back on the last two concerts, the sisters, who specialize in romantic music, have made strong changes to challenge themselves in new ways. A notable example is that of Le Quyen and Thu Phuong. In the last two concerts, both singers had to train hard and perform songs that were not their forte. Instead of using her natural singing skills, Le Quyen put herself in a challenging position by joining a dance-oriented group. In Concert 1, she even practiced jumping to the point of pointing her toes.
"MLee may have some shortcomings, her singing may not be perfect, or the two sisters' rap parts may not be convincing enough for a demanding audience. But do you know how many well-known singers would dare to show their vulnerability or try something new, something they have never done before, on the biggest program in Vietnam at the moment, with millions of viewers watching, and with less than a week of preparation? However, MLee's sisters did not hesitate to experience it, and the three sisters did their best to give the audience the most complete performance possible," MLee shared on her social network profile about her performance of Phi hành gia cô đơn (Lonely Astronauts).
Concert 3 will be held under the theme "Time Travel", with 4 songs: Hai đứa trẻ (Two Children), Màu hồng Chủ nhật (Pink Sunday), Mashup Mưa phi trường - Ước gì (Rain at the Airport - Mashup Desire), Vì sao (Why). According to the theme, these songs will evoke the nostalgia of youth and affirm that "each person's youth has nothing to do with age, but with perception".
Before the third concert, the audience will be informed in detail about which of the beautiful sisters will form a group and about the training process as well as the community life of the new music groups in episode 8 of Sisters Who Make Waves 2023, which will be broadcast on December 16, 2023 at 9:15 pm on VTV3.
