To celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, Vietnam Television, the Ministry of Public Security and Sanyu Company (Japan) are jointly producing an artistic exchange program under the theme "Harmony". This is an opportunity for artists from both countries to meet, exchange, and enhance mutual understanding through the language of contemporary art. Artists play a crucial role in creating a harmonious and cohesive atmosphere while expressing their unique attributes, thus contributing to the overall success of the program.
The art program "Harmony", celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, was aired on December 10 on VTV1.
Deputy Prime Minister Trần Lưu Quang, Director General of Vietnam Television Lê Ngọc Quang and other delegates attended the program.
The program was attended by Mr. Trần Lưu Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Steering Committee for the Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Vietnam-Japan Diplomatic Relations; Mr. Lê Ngọc Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Director General of Vietnam Television. On the Japanese side, Mr. Yamada Takio, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam; Mr. Sugi Ryotaro, former Special Ambassador of Vietnam - Japan.
The organizers of the "Harmony" program were honored to receive congratulatory letters from Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh.
The spirit of street dance is the leitmotif of "Harmony". This dance genre is becoming increasingly popular and loved by the youth in both Vietnam and Japan. Through the expressive language of street dance, artists participating in the program from both countries have overcome language barriers to interact, harmonize and exchange ideas.
The program featured two very special dance groups from Japan: macaron♪ and Forever Chance! These are two dance groups consisting of elderly female members who met and formed the groups while doing their daily exercise.
Members of both groups started dancing at the age of 64.5 and above. Regular dancing has improved their health, spirit and cognitive abilities. The two groups also introduced the Vietnamese audience to a new concept that the Japanese use to refer to the elderly: GOLD = Good + OLD (Healthy and well-lived elders bring golden value to society).
On the "Harmony" stage, there was an interaction between the two oldest dance groups from Japan and the youngest dance group from Vietnam, Hanoi Best Kid.
The members of Hanoi Best Kid surprised the grandmothers of the Macaron♪ and Forever Chance! dance groups with handmade gifts. The three groups then had a joyful and intimate exchange. Once again, the audience could clearly feel the "harmony," and there was no age or geographical divide.
The girl group HKT48, sweet and youthful, added to the excitement with two songs, "12 Giây" and "Tuyệt Nhất Cơ Đấy". The energetic and impressive performance of the boy group DA PUMP further enlivened the atmosphere.
The combination of modern rhythms with traditional Quan họ folk songs in the mashup "From Vietnam With Love" (based on Quan họ folk songs from Bac Ninh: "Người Ở Đừng Về" and "Cò Lả") concluded the "Harmony" program.
The music and rhythms blended together, creating memorable moments in the Vietnam-Japan artistic exchange program "Harmony"!
