Wind power project in Bac Lieu province

Its completion comes six months earlier than initially planned.

The project features 62 wind power turbines, expected to produce 16,000 megawatt hours of electricity for the national grid – 20% more than initially planned.

Investors expect this figure to surge in the future as coastal winds reach even higher velocities. The project is expected to be a source of renewable energy for the Mekong Delta region.

It is expected that 200 more wind turbines will be set up off the coast of Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces in the near future.
