She grabbed dual awards for her outstanding pronunciation and eloquence. Approximately 1,000 teachers of the Russian language from 60 countries attended the qualifying round of the competition.
Tam was among 15 finalists.The annual contest was first launched in 2013 in a bid to popularise the Russian language around the world and improve the capability of foreign teachers in their teaching of the Russian language and literature.
