The event was also a tribute to the 85th Anniversary of the Vietnam Farmers Association. Over the past 30 years, the association has collaborated with 50 international partners. Among these are major agencies such as the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations and the International Fund for Agricultural Development. Over 200 agreements worth a total of 17 billion USD have been signed to help Vietnam’s agricultural development. The conference was also an opportunity to honour important contributions to the nation’s agricultural sector.
