Deputy Defence Minister and Director General of the General Staff Department of the Lao People's Army Souvone Luongbounmy and Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung attended the event.
The school will be constructed with the support of the Vietnamese government as well as the Ministry of National Defence, a total investment of 125 billion VND.
When operational, this school will help train border officers and aid socio-economic development, as well as strengthening the border defences of both Laos and Vietnam.
