This year's theme is "90-90-90 to end AIDS in Vietnam". 90-90-90 refers to a United Nations goal stating that by 2020, 90 percent of people living with HIV will know their status, 90 percent will be treated with antiretroviral drugs (ARV), and 90 percent of ARV treatment can control the viral load in low status patients.
Ultimately, the aim is that HIV/AIDS will be eradicated by the end of 2030. However, according to statistic, there is only 45% of people living with HIV nationwide being treated with ARV drug, which is still lagging far behind the target of 90%.
