This is the time when the Khmer people visit temples to pray for health, fortune and prosperity for the New Year. Previously, the Khmer community in Tra Vinh had conducted the Maha Sonh Kran offering ceremony, which they believe washes away all the misfortunes of the previous year. During the three days of the Khmer New Year celebrations, there will be many other cultural activities to pay tribute to their ancestors and deliver good wishes.
