The pilot follows the vaccine’s successful test on 60 adults and clinical trials on animals. The children will be injected 3 doses of polio vaccine IPOVAC with each a month apart. Each child will receive three blood tests to check their immune reactions. If the tests are successful, the vaccine will continue to be given to 1,000 children. It is expected that the IPOVAC polio vaccine will be available for sale by 2018.
