This was the focal point of a conference on gender-based violence prevention for the 2016-2020 period. The event was hosted by the Department of Gender Equality under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.
A proposal to construct a support system for victims of gender-based violence will be submitted to the government for consideration. This system will be built on international standards and take into consideration cultural factors and Vietnamese customs.
A network called GBVNet will supported by the Vietnamese and other international governments. This is part of Vietnam’s efforts to promote gender equality in society.
