From August 24th to 27th, doctors from the Children’s Hospital 1 and the Hospital for Women and Children in Da Nang are performing the operations on children aged 3 months to 6 years.
Each operation is priced at 250 US dollars. Since July 2013, over 150 children have received free cleft lip and palate surgery through the charity programme.
The initiative also provides training for young doctors and supplies medical tools and equipment for this type of surgery.
