Each student will be provided about 23 USD per month from now until they finish high school. Donations, which will amount to nearly 19 thousand USD, come from the borderguards’ monthly allowance. The program ensures that poor students can go to school, and strengthens long-standing relations between the armies and people of Vietnam and Laos.
