This is part of a Japanese project aimed to help Vietnamese fishermen export tuna to Japan. The fishermen in Binh Dinh plan to have their first trip with this equipment in January.
The tuna caught will then be tested for quality and exported to Japan. Binh Dinh will invest in new boats to preserve the fish and transfer catches.
Earlier in October, Japanese experts joined boat trips with Binh Dinh’s fishermen and shared their knowledge. It is hoped that with this help, Vietnamese tuna would succeed in Japan’s market.
