VTV.vn - The Vietnam Fatherland Front and the United Nations Population Fund held a conference about gender equality in Hanoi on October 30th.

The meeting was part of a national campaign to promote women’s rights and minimise gender selection at birth. At the event, Buddhist dignitaries from the northern provinces shared their experience in combating this issue.

They also urged people to ensure gender equality by following the country’s population policies. In the future, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue raising awareness about gender equality. The objective is to return the gender ratio back to 105-106 boys for every 100 girls by 2025.
