2015 marks 25 years since Vietnam ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Among the 190 nations that ratified the Convention, Vietnam was the first in Asia and the 2nd in the world. Over the past 25 years, the nation has been trying hard to implement the Convention, especially in terms of applying its articles.
In the context of global integration, Vietnam understands the importance of investing in its children. As global issues such as child trafficking, child labour and physical and sexual abuse Vietnam is stepping up its effort to protect the rights of its young citizens.
