He met with Lao People’s Revolutionary Party General Secretary Bounnhang Vorachith and Lao State President Choummaly Sayasone.
The Vietnamese Politburo member offered his congratulations to Laos on the success of its 8th National Assembly election, and extended his best wishes to the Lao people on the occasion of their traditional new year Bunpimay festival.
At the meeting, Lao government announced funding of 200,000 USD and 5,000 USD in funds from the Lao people to help Vietnamese households suffering due to recent natural disasters.
