At a talk with the Secretary of the Chinese Party Committee’s Commission for Political and Legal Affairs, Meng Jianzhu, Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang said that the upcoming Vietnam visit by Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping will be a significant milestone in the traditional ties between the two Parties, States, and peoples. The host affirmed that China continues to value and strengthen their friendship and collaboration with Vietnam.
At the meeting between Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang and his Chinese counterpart Guo Shengkun, the two sides agreed to take practical actions to foster comprehensive and widespread cooperation in law enforcement, fighting organised, trans-national terrorism, and cyber and human trafficking crimes.
Crackdowns on crime at border areas, as well as measures to ensure safety for Vietnamese and Chinese citizens living in each other’s countries will continue. Both sides vowed to intensify personnel training and provide technical equipment used for crime prevention and immigration management.
As part of the dialogue, the Vietnamese minister also met bilaterally with Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Singaporean Senior Minister of State Desmond Lee, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sar Kheng, and Lao Minister of Security Somkeo Silavong.
