State President Sang hailed the Federation’s selection of Hanoi to host the meeting prior to its 17th congress, considering this an encouragement for Vietnamese workers.
He praised the Federation’s efforts to fight for workers’ legitimate rights and interests and its cooperation with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. State President Sang also expressed hopes that unity between the working class and trade union organisations will be consolidated in the fight against poverty, invasion, arms races, and climate change.
For his part, Mavrikov said he believes Vietnam will achieve greater success in politics, economics, culture and international relations.
