Visiting the Vietnamese Embassy, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the efforts of the diplomat and staff in improving relations between the two countries. Prime Minister Phuc stated that the Vietnamese government would continue to support the community in Russia.
The same day, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Gazprom, one of Russia’s largest oil and gas companies. The Prime Minister emphasised that energy co-operation was one of the major pillars of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The government was also keen to always provide the best possible conditions for Russian businesses, including Gazprom, to operate in the country, he said, noting his hope that the group will increase their investment in oil and gas exploration and exploitation and crude oil supply while expanding their presence in new spheres such as petrochemistry and producing new fuels.
On May 18, the visiting Prime Minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, attended the opening of a Vietnamese-invested dairy farm in Volokolamsk, Russia. The government leader highlighted the significance of the free trade agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union which opens the service and investment markets of both countries.
He said Russia was a big market for dairy products. TH True Milk’s project will contribute to local agriculture, generate jobs for Russians and Vietnamese living there, and add to potential for co-operation between Vietnam and Russia.
Prime Minister Phuc said Vietnamese government would continue to support the project and asked the investor to guarantee its investment and provide good working conditions for its employees.
