Attending the event, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that over the past 10 years, the country had seen Protestantism develop. The directive has improved state management on the religion and contributed significantly to fighting hostile forces that might take advantage of Protestantism to harm national unity.
He also stressed that Vietnam’s consistent policy towards Protestantism is to respect the legitimate right of religion and belief, acknowledge pure religious practices, and strictly punish schemes and actions that take advantage of religious matters to disturb national solidarity and unity.
