The Vietnamese Deputy Minister stressed that Vietnam wishes to make defence tie one of the main pillars in Japanese - Vietnamese co-operation.
The two deputy ministers affirmed the importance of maritime security and agreed to promote collaboration in law enforcement at sea as well as search and rescue operations. Vietnam is willing to welcome visits from Japanese naval ships and their usage of logistics service and technology at Cam Ranh Port.
