Foreign minister meets Bulgarian and Danish counterparts

VTV.vn - Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh had meetings with Bulgaria and Denmark’s foreign ministers at the on-going UN Summit.

Pham Binh Minh said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung's official visit to Bulgaria this June was an important milestone to promote ties between the two countries.

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov highlighted the two sides would need to prepare for the Vietnam-Bulgaria Inter-governmental committee staled for this November and the Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister's visit to Vietnam. Pham Binh Minh requested Bulgaria consider providing ODA and preferential credit for environmental and health projects in Vietnam.

Meeting with Danish Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen, Vietnamese foreign minister Pham BInh Minh thanked the Danish government for maintaining its large ODA for Vietnam for the past years. He also hoped for stronger co-operation in business, science and technology, green growth, climate change and education and training.

The Danish foreign minister said he highly valued the ties with Vietnam and Denmark would continue supporting Vietnam in education and sustainable development. The two diplomats agreed to speed up the implementation of Vietnam-Denmark action plan for 2014 to 2015 and draft the new action plan for the 2016 to 2017 period.
