He called upon them to unite and contribute further to Vietnam's development. He said that he was delighted at the success of overseas Vietnamese in the US, adding that they are a strong bridge between the two countries.
The state leader also hailed the positive development of Vietnam-US ties after his trip to the US in 2013 and Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong’s recent visit to the US. He hopes that the American people will provide greater support for the Vietnam- US Comprehensive Partnership, and the protection of Vietnam's independence and sovereignty.
